Dear Members, Visitors, and Friends of the Congregation,

          Frankly, I didn’t know quite what to pray during our Conference Call tonight, November 4, at 7:00 PM, since I would be composing the prayer before the election but praying it after the election when the outcome is known – or might not be known. So I decided to pray what I was thinking when the election was still a few days off. Now whether or not the prayer reflects what you’ve been thinking, maybe even praying, I cannot say. As always, I can only hope that it speaks in some way to where you are at or gives you a start on a prayer of your own. (Check Pastor Flanigan’s email for the information you need to join the call.)

          The uncertainty of the coronavirus situation leaves us where we’ve been at concerning our schedule: In-person Sunday worship only. One causality of this uncertainty will be the Thanksgiving Potluck – there’s just no way we can do it.

          The financial support of the congregation remains solid and we thank all of you for your strong commitment to Christ Our Hope!

          May God continue to lift up our spirits during these days, grace us with the patience we need for these days, and grant us the resolve to keep doing what is right and responsible throughout these days,
