Adult Sunday School: Pastor Jeff leads an Adult Sunday School Class every Sunday Morning at 8:45 am in the Good Shepherd Hall.
Children's Church: Children stay in the 10:00 a.m. church service until after the Children's Sermon. They then retire to another part of the building to have their own service.
Calvary Refuge Center: On the 4th Thursday of every month volunteers either serve supper at or provide food for the center. There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex of the church or contact the church office.
Christian Education Committee: Adult and children's Sunday School are the center of this committee's work
Communication Committee: Writing newspaper, Scribe or website articles, working on the church directory, or creating interesting signs are just some of the responsibilities of this committee. If you have writing or graphic skills, or just the desire to help, this committee is for you.
Fellowship Committee: This committee creates the schedule for and then implements social activities. Some of gatherings are potluck lunches and the Christmas party. If you enjoy organizing and planning, then this committee is for you.
Finance Committee: This committee has the responsibility for keeping the church's financial records.
Property Committee: This committee maintains and improves the church grounds and buildings. Grass cutting during the summer on a bi-weekly basis is especially fulfilling.
Redeemer Soup Kitchen: We serve on the second Tuesday of every month. We gather at church @ 9:30 to carpool.
Service Committee: This committee explores and organizes service projects for the congregation.
Youth Committee: Working with our youth and helping them plan activities are the center of this committee. Youth sometimes have a unique way of looking at life and this committee offers a chance to help guide them.
Lutheran Services of Georgia:Â Kitchen Items:Â eating utensils, dishes, pots and pans, mixing/serving bowls, kitchen utensils, can opener;Â Linens: towels, sheets and blankets, pillows and pillow cases;Â Cleaning Supplies: dish soap, bathroom/kitchen cleanser, paper towels, sponges, laundry detergent, waste baskets, mop, broom, trash bags;Â Toiletries: toilet paper, shampoo, soap, toothbrushes/ toothpaste;Â Other: light bulbs, alarm clock, all types of furniture, lamps.
       Bring any contributions to church.
Sweet Dreams Ministry: Beginning in January 2012, this ministry will be working to support the more than 1,500 homeless children in Clayton County between the ages of 5 and 12 as identified by the Clayton County School System. Sweet Dreams Ministry will be working to provide pajamas, underwear, booties (house shoes), stuffed animals, night lights, toothbrushes and toothpaste and story books for these children.
