Dear Members, Visitors, and Friends of the Congregation,

         Below is the prayer I will pray during our Conference Call tonight, September 2, at 7: 00 PM (check Pastor Flanigan’s email for the phone number or link and access code). The prayer is another “reading prayer” – a prayer you should read through a time or two and see what happens. It may speak to you in such a way that you can pray it as your own or are led to compose your own. Then again, it may not speak to you at all and you’ll just shrug your shoulders and set it aside. I never know what the reaction will be. I can only hope that it helps you in some way.

          We still intend to resume in-person worship with a communion service on September 13, at 10:00 AM. I can’t wait to see all of you who feel comfortable with attending! Please keep in mind that we do ask that you wear masks. We will practice social distancing and follow a special protocol for communion. Also, the narthex, sanctuary, and bathrooms will be sanitized each week. I do understand if you’re not ready yet to gather with others and I hope the videos we will continue to do will help you worship at home and stay connected to the congregation.

          Wednesday Evening Communion, Sunday School and Thursday Bible Study will remain on hold but we think we should be able to go ahead with them before too long.

          May God be our refuge and strength and strength in this time so that we can be freed from fear and live with hope,
