Dear Members, Visitors, and Friends of the Congregation,

          We are watching the virus numbers very carefully and certainly hope it will remain safe for us to keep gathering. At this writing, we still plan on having a cookout on Sunday, August 15, following worship. We will, however, eat in the Fellowship Hall. There is no need to bring anything – just stay and enjoy!

          The attached prayer, which I will pray during our ZOOM worship time tonight, August 4, at 7:00 PM, was set in motion by a casual comment I heard someone make. Before I knew it, a prayer was forming in my head. Short, scattered thoughts I had been thinking and short, scattered talks I had been having with God came together and became a long prayer. It is certainly a personal prayer, as you will see, and maybe not even a proper prayer at all, as most of mine aren’t, and yet I have heard a number of people say of late that they’re not very comfortable yet and so maybe, prayer or not, it will resonate with you and help you with your prayers.

          May God’s presence with us grace us with peace during these days when we are often far from peace,
