Dear Members, Visitors, and Friends of the Congregation, 

          At its meeting last Sunday, the Church Council decided that there is no need to return to every other pew seating in spite of recent Covid numbers. In addition, there will be no change in how we’ve been communing at the altar rail. It was felt that we each know best as to whether or not we should wear a mask and practice some form of social distancing and that this approach will continue to assure a safe environment. 

          The attached prayer, which I will pray during our ZOOM worship time tonight, Wednesday, August 17, at 7:00 PM, was set off by a recent scan I had. But it’s about more than test results. It’s meant to speak to all the uncertainties we live with today. I just hope it does. 

          May we live with such faith and hope and trust that we live with the certainty of God’s love and presence every day,
