Dear Members, Visitors, and Friends of the Congregation, 

          Given the increase in the number of Covid cases and the presence of yet another variant, the Church Council, at its meeting on August 14, will look at returning to every other pew seating and other measures if the numbers continue to rise. We will go ahead with refreshments in the Fellowship Hall following worship on July 31st. We want to be cautious but also maintain as much normalcy as possible. 

          The attached prayer, which I will pray during our ZOOM worship time tonight, Wednesday, July 27, at 7:00 PM, arose out of a suggestion one of our daughters made about the new Apple 7 watch. As you will see, it got me going on the whole business of watches, being watched, keeping watch over. It took on a life of its own and, as is often the case, I’m not sure it will speak to you, but I hope it does in some way. 

          May God keep watching over us during these days,
