Dear Members, Visitors, and Friends of the Congregation,

          I’m afraid I got a little carried away with the attached prayer which I will pray during our ZOOM worship time tonight, July 14, at 7:00 PM. It’s just that one day I got really irritated with our so-called “smart” washing machine, along with other smart devices we have, and that got me going. Images and phrases kept popping into my head and, as I jotted them down, they started to form a kind of prayer about far more than washing machines. I realize it’s not a prayer that you can just pick up and pray yourself but, at least, it might get you thinking about thinking and even lead to a prayer of your own about thinking.

          Looking ahead, on Sunday, August 1, we will resume distributing communion at the altar rail (as we did prior to the pandemic). In addition, on Sunday, August 15, we will have a cook-out (but eat together in the Fellowship Hall). We will serve hamburgers, turkey burgers, and beef and turkey hot dogs along with side dishes. All you need do is come and enjoy as little by little we become Christ Our Hope again.

          May we put to good use the minds God has given us and do what is right in God’s eyes,
