Dear Members, Visitors, and Friends of the Congregation,

          This past Sunday at the Annual Congregational Meeting, the consensus of those present was that we gradually open up and start to resume ministries and activities in light of the new CDC guidelines and the fact that 95% or more of those currently attending services have been vaccinated. This Sunday we will take the first steps in the process: masks will be optional for worship and there will be two seating arrangements – roped off to maintain social distancing, and open with no distancing. We hope this protocol will continue to insure a safe gathering while allowing individuals to decide what they are comfortable with given their differing situations.

          To celebrate in a small way our gradual return to some sense of normalcy, we will serve coffee, juice, and donuts following worship on May 30. In other words, we’ll actually have the chance to have face to face conversations!

          Also, a reminder: we will have Parking Lot Communion this Saturday, May 22, at 11:00 AM.

          The attached prayer, which I will pray during our ZOOM worship time this evening, May 19, at 7:00 PM, is based on a hymn, as was last week’s. The hymn is “Lead Me, Guide Me”. It is a hymn that speaks to me in a powerful way and I hope that the prayer speaks to you as much as the hymn does to me.

          May we walk each day with the Lord and follow his way beyond these days to more normal life and to gladness,
